Worldwide Babies – A WYD Challenge

C.1: A mysterious fluttering in the tummy

Posted on: January 17, 2012

PREVIOUSLY: Virginia just had two children in a row, and she’s more than ever convinced that her research is absolutely necessary. But she likes her second child’s daddy so much that she’s starting to think that having 26 different partners it may not be easy as she thought…

Virginia loves her new little daughter Barcelona, but there’s something that feels wrong… she would like her to meet her father.

She and Niklaus has never met again, after her announcement of her pregnancy, and she knows that he has found a new girlfriend, Tracy. Virginia is the least happy of the news, even if she doesn’t understand why.

…not until he show up at her door, having discovered that she has given birth to a child that rumors say is his.

As soon as she sees him, she leaps into his arms, even if she still refuses to understand why she was so jealous, and why she missed him.

She apologizes for not calling, and they talk, and as she watches him interacting with little Barcelona, she finally feels at peace.

She suddenly understands what she wants: one only chance with him. Why not? She’s young, and in her Plan there’s nothing about not having a boyfriend…

She begs him to give her a chance, and when he agrees to leave Tracy to try having a relationship with her, after many hours of debate, she feels over the moon. As to seal their agreement, they kiss like they never have before.

With her newfound serenity, Virginia organizes a party for the birthday of her older son Amerigo.

He does not become a very good-looking child, but Virginia is much more interested in those creepy eyes and the glowing skin that are still present… and during the party, she notices that his father Bertram is similar, even though he wasn’t like this when they made love that only time at the theatre…

Well, Amerigo will not become a model, probably, but he still is a little genius.

Amerigo Mondiale: Genius, Heavy Sleeper, Eccentric
Random Traits.
Vampire.

It’s a pity that the boy is forced to sleep outside, in a sleeping bag. The family is again short on money: the small amount that Virginia earned as a refund after the journalist accused her of having an illegitimate child is almost completely gone…

The family needs money. And Virginia can’t work, while Barcelona is still so little, and she isn’t going to let a babysitter take care of her. What if she ruins her experiments?

As a stay at home mom, so, Virginia has a lot of time to spend doing various things: fixing the sink,

And meeting Nicklaus, even though he doesn’t always dress appropriately.

But Virginia doesn’t care: she’s starting to feel some strange fluttering inside her chest whenever she sees him. It’s a pleasant sensation, but she’s afraid that Nicklaus will take that away from her. After all, they are very good friends, but there’s nothing official in their relationships. After much thoughts, Virginia decides that the best way to maintain that feeling in her chest is to bound Nicklaus to her in a way that he can’t easily break.

And that is surely the best thing to do, because soon her birthday arrives, and she becomes an Adult.

And Barcelona grows to a toddler!

She’s not creepy as Amerigo was, and she has her mother’s blond hair and her father’s green eyes… she’s a very cute little thing who seems the perfect mix of her parents!

Virginia teaches her the fundamental skills for her age, including some secret recipe that she and her father shared.

Meanwhile Amerigo, who has decided that he wants a perfect mind in a perfect body, thinks that helping her mom in her research could’t be so bad. Actually, it may saves her time that then she could spend with him.

Surprisingly for him, but much more for Virginia, he succeeds before she does, creating a potion to return young… even though his experiments aren’t always so perfect.

Virginia is a bit jealous of her son’s incredible success – he does create that potion after a single night at the chemistry station, while she’s still struggling after months of studies! She congratulates him and accepts the potion as a gift, but decides that she will keep it in her inventory until she has tested it and repeated the experiment, unless she absolutely needs it.

Amerigo also takes his time to get to know better Nicklaus. And that is a very good idea, because…

Oooh, young again potion – great one for this challenge!

😀 I really can’t be bothered to find all the ingredients for ambrosia (I actually never did it!)
I should say, I wanted to write you to ask if I could link your page here, because you are the one who inspired me to start a legacy, some time ago when I read the Kyotis (the first legacy I ever read) in two days, and now I’m reading all your other challenges (and loving them all)! And I never commented because I’m a shy fan, and now I’m ashamed of that! >_<
So… can I link Bebe Populous here? Please? 🙂

Can I ask….I didn’t see…what lifetime settings are you using?

I’m using normal… it’s 3 days for babies, 7 or 8 for toddlers, 8 for children, 14 for teenagers, 21 for YA and adults. Elders have their bar full at 90 days.
