Worldwide Babies – A WYD Challenge

G. Two strangers in the family

Posted on: March 3, 2012

Previously: Croazia left home, while Dalmazia and Eufrate grew up. Nicklaus is looking for revenge, and he moved in the hous his dear friend Justine…

This is Justine Lynn, Nicklaus’s guest. She really is a very nice person, always looking forward to have a chat with Virginia and the kids.

She even cares about doing her dishes, even if no one asks her to do so, a gesture that Virginia really appreciates, as she doesn’t have the time to look after the kids, look for men, and cleaning.

But she does not like it, when she and Nicklaus decides to sleep together, leaving her in the kids’ room with Dalmazia. Not that she actually sleeps, anyway: she’s too busy staying awake and listening to the noises coming from the master bedroom. She has never felt more jealous in her whole life, but she’s not capable of dealing with such feelings…

The day after, she keeps busy dedicating the day to Dalamzia, who performs in a ballet, and then ages to teen.

It’s also her birthday, but she becomes an Adult.

Sometime after, Justine receives the news that she’s pregnant. She’s very excited, because that was what Nicklaus told her he wanted: a child to surrogate for him and his wife. Justine doesn’t wait a second to tell Virginia, whose she’s now a close friend…

But Virginia’s expression at the new is less than pleased. She feels like she has ingested a very sour bite.

What does that mean? Nicklaus, having a child with Justine? How?

Justine immediately understands that Virginia doesn’t know anything of Nicklaus’s plan. Embarrassed, she explains that Nicklaus told her that Virginia and he wanted a lot of children together, but that they were unable to conceive. They then decided that Virginia could have children from other men, but it wasn’t ideal, so they thought that maybe Nicklaus could have a child form another woman as well.

Virginia may be clueless about feelings, but she does understand what Nicklaus did. Her dear friend will have Nicklaus’s child, and she will be forced to love him or her, just like her husband did with her children. She will make him pay, of that she’s sure, but, for now, she doesn’t want to hurt Justine, who just wanted to help her, and she pretends to be grateful and to love the child.

Nicklaus, too, spends time connecting with his child. But Justine isn’t taking any of it: she asks the man an explanation.

Nicklaus embarrassed face tells her more than everything else.

And then he finds a justification explaining that he knew how Virginia would be hurt to discover that he wanted his own child, and than he was going to tell her later. Justine doesn’t quite know whether to believe him or not…

But she doesn’t really have the time to think about it. With the promise to finish their discussion later, Nicklaus leaves for work, and only some hours later, Justine has to rush to the hospital to give birth to a baby girl.

But Nicklaus doesn’t make it, to see his child, to see the completion of his revenge: he dies during his shift at the bistro, while Justine is bringing home the little girl.

Having received the news even before Virginia, thanks to their colleagues at the bistro, Justine decides to just leave the girl at home, and then return to her family. She’s too sad to tell Virginia that Nicklaus’s dream of having his own child was fulfilled without him knowing. And she can’t tell her that she will have to deal with her children alone, either.

She places Georgia in the crib, and she leaves.

AN: As I said. Revenge for Nicklaus. And doesn’t even live to see it! Bah. By the way, I eve had a crash during this play session, just before Georgia was born. I played it again, and this time the girl was born female again, even if with different traits, and Nicklaus didn’t die during the birth, but some hours later. It was destiny. And now it’s only Virginia and her children…

Bye Bye, Nicklaus. You will be missed. (By me. Not sure about Virginia, she doesn’t really have a heart). Farewell… for now.

I enjoyed this very much. Goodbye to Nicklaus.

Poor Nicklaus. Way to add insult to injury… 😉

It’s strange to see Virginia so vindictive; I wouldn’t have thought her traits accommodated that. It’s one thing for her to be experimenting with genetics and science by having all these children; another to be trying to get revenge on the husband who didn’t understand her choices.

Well… I know. You’re right. But it fit so well with the story, that I didn’t care. Also, the “penta-dimensional” sims allow a bit of personality twisting, so I thought I could make it work. And to be sincere, I liked it. It brought a bit of drama. But I remember I was so angry and sad at Nicklaus’s death… I truly loved him. At least I have his ghost to keep me company when everyone is sleeping.
